Coolidge, 78, and Roseann Marie Hannah, 53, perished at their home in Loma Rica in Yuba County when the Cascade fire began burning through the region on Oct. 8. The couple were engaged to be married. Coolidge had worked as an attorney in Yuba City for more than three decades and served as a reserve sheriff’s deputy, according to the Chico Enterprise Record. “He was the best dad anyone could ask for,” his son, Andrew Coolidge, a member of Chico’s city council, told the paper, “and a great grandpa to my children.”.
